Fools is a foray into acoustic and softer music with a touch of blues, folk and country, but with my old familiar style thrown in for good measure.

This is an album based around a few topics, but the main ones are trauma, grief and anger. I delve into extremely personal topics that I've never spoken or written about before.

This album was written as a way to challenge myself and to force myself to look at some very serious stuff inside. Originally it was intended to be an accessible album for folks that weren't fans of my heavier, angrier, and sadder music. I managed to cut out the heaviness!

But the truth is, the anger, the sadness, the guilt, the fear, the panic, they are all part of who I am, my identity, and what Macy as a project stands for. It's for me. It's always been for me. But if someone else connects with a song, buys a download, falls in love with these tracks the same way I have, then it makes it all worth it.
